John Langley has been a proud resident of Naples, Florida, since October 2002, when he moved to the city and later purchased a home in the Seagate Subdivision in 2003. Married to Lori Eytel, a Naples resident since 1971, John is a devoted family man with two children from his first marriage, a stepfather to Lori’s three daughters, and a grandfather to five. An avid boater, fisherman, tennis player, golfer, bird hunter, and piano player, John cherishes Naples’ vibrant lifestyle and is committed to preserving its unique charm for all residents.

Having navigated the challenges of rebuilding and permitting after recent hurricanes, John gained firsthand insight into Naples’ governance and identified critical areas for improvement. Since retiring in 2024, he has immersed himself in local politics and bureaucracy, advocating for better resident services and a thriving business environment. His vision is to ensure Naples remains a resilient, welcoming, and prosperous community.

With decades of experience as a Certified Public Accountant and entrepreneur, John founded and led successful ventures, including a CPA firm, a real estate development company, and a medical transcription service. His leadership in professional associations, civic organizations, and charitable boards—including the Rotary Club of Naples and the First United Methodist Church of Naples—demonstrates his commitment to community service. Recognized as Business Observer’s Collier County “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2011 and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, John brings proven expertise and dedication to the Naples City Council.
